COVID-19 pandemic is creating a havoc across the world and expected to continue for quite some time. At Sarthak, we have always been highly aware of our responsibility towards the nation and are committed to provide all possible support to India’s response to the COVID-19 challenge in the domain of disability. We believe in taking measurable steps to tackle the urgent need of the hour and our response to the pandemic is also built around this approach.
One of the objectives under Sarthak Response to COVID-19 is knowledge sharing and generating awareness to combat COVID-19 considering all spheres and segments of disability.
Sarthak and NAAI is organizing webinar series to initiate a dialogue with national and international leaders to ponder on required initiatives to empower disability sector.

#Webinar 5: CSR Roadmap for upscaling disability ecosystem

The webinar would be a dialogue between CEOs/CSR & sustainability heads to ponder upon required initiatives to embark future roadmap for disability sector considering the present scenario of COVID 19.
The discussion would be revolved around:
- • Need of accessible technology for people with disability in all belts of India (Urban/Rural/Tribal) to access the applications/products developed so far for PwDs.
- • Rethinking on developing structured heath strategy for framing guidelines in Early Intervention Services.
- • Focused and dedicated CSR fund for making online education, accessible and Inclusive.
- • Skilling and Re-skilling of Individuals to make them adaptable for new normal corporate culture.
- • Empowering rural India by providing ample opportunities under self-employment vertical.
- • Capacity building of grassroot champions (civil society organizations) to ensure implementation of online technologies on ground.
- • Empowering and Scaling up Individual talents representing India on International grounds through Abilympics.
#Webinar 6: Aftermath of COVID 19 on disability diversity and Inclusion-II

Due to COVID-19 restriction, many people with disabilities who operated small businesses, corporate jobs or other informal livelihood ventures (ie home cell phone repair or machine repair shops, selling goods, etc.) are unable to work and there is a significant loss of income.
The part II of the webinar is aimed at raising awareness about the adverse effect of COVID on PwDs personal and professional front and further deliberation on other vital aspects such as inclusion of PwDs at work place, post-COVID survival and revival packages, counseling services, skill-building, newer opportunities, work from home model, CSR expenditure, innovation and technology etc.
