    We Provide Early Childhood Development at our Early Intervention Centers.

    Why Early Intervention?

    During the first three formative years of an individual’s life most of the cognitive, physical, communication, social/emotional, and adaptive developments take place. Thus, in the case of any developmental delays, this period is the best for introducing interventions so that the child can be facilitated and supported to achieve faster

    How Early Intervention Works?

    • • Early prevention, identification and intervention are the three facets of Sarthak Antakshep Kendra. Early prevention and identification involves identification of problem areas in its earliest and sensitization of gynaecologists, paediatrician and health workers to control disability proneness for risk babies. Early intervention works for providing therapeutic aid to child facing developmental delays.
    • • We at Sarthak, with the aid of a multi-disciplinary team (including paediatrician, ENT specialist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, speech pathologists, and child psychologists) assess the child and based on the assessment intervention services are planned and provided to the children,
    • • Through field visits in hospitals, clinics, Aanganbadietc, rehabilitation team sensitizes the gynecologists, pediatrician and health workers to control disability proneness for risk babies,
    • • Periodic check up camps, parents workshop, and awareness camps are also organized to spread the message and generate awareness.

    Which Disorders we assist on Treatment?

    At Sarthak Early Intervention Center, Children with neurological problems, birth defects, genetic disorders, like Visually Impaired, Cerebral Palsy, Down's Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Spina Bifida, Hydrocephalus, Epilepsy and Epilepsy syndromes, Metabolic Disorders, Hearing Impaired, Attention deficit hyperactivity Disorder etc. are rehabilitated.

    What Child Development Services We Provide?

    Speech Therapy: Speech therapy is an intervention service that focuses on improving a child's speech and abilities to understand and express language, including nonverbal language. Speech Therapists, or Speech and language pathologists (SLPs), are the professionals who provide these services.

    Behavior Therapy: In behavioral therapy, the goal is to reinforce desirable behaviors and eliminate unwanted or maladaptive ones. The behavior itself is the problem and the goal is to teach clients new behaviors to minimize or eliminate the issue it treat mental health disorders. This form of therapy seeks to identify and help change potentially self-destructive or unhealthy behaviors. It functions on the idea that all behaviors are learned and that unhealthy behaviors can be changed. The focus is often on current problems and how to change them.

    Special Education/ Remedial Classes: It is a therapy which utilizes special teaching strategies for children with different types of learning difficulties. These may include students diagnosed with Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism and other special needs. RE tries to improve upon the deficient skills of the child.

    Occupational Therapy: It focuses on helping people with a physical, sensory, or cognitive disability be as independent as possible in all areas of their lives. It helps special needs children improve their cognitive, physical, sensory, and motor skills and enhance their self-esteem and sense of accomplishment. It works to improve fine and gross motor skills and motor planning.

    Psychological Services: we conduct detailed assessment of the child in order to know about the diagnosis and the condition that further helps in formulating management and rehabilitation plan for the child. Parent counseling is the essential part of the program as it is important to make parents aware about childs condition, related issues and management. As family is the first source of interaction and child spend most of the time in the family thus parent training program are utmost important.


    Intervention phases

    • • 1st Phase - Developmental assessments and evaluation of children with disability.
    • • 2nd Phase - Parental Counselling & Guidance
    • • 3rd Phase - Providing Paramedical Services (Vision Stimulation, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Behavior Modification & Special Education)
    • • 4th Phase - Individualized & Group Intervention
    • • 5th Phase - Preschool activities for children aged over 3 years to facilitate inclusion in the regular schools

    What is the impact, so far?

    We have rehabilitated 1050+ special needs children in our Rehabilitation Centers at PaschimVihar, Delhi, and Ghaziabad.
