Centre of Excellence for Early Intervention/Rehabilitation

Welcome to the Centre of Excellence for Early Intervention/Rehabilitation (CoE for Early Intervention) at the Sarthak Global Resource Centre (SGRC). Situated on the second floor of SGRC, the CoE for Early Intervention is a vital part of our mission to empower Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and their families.

    Vision and Mission

The CoE for Early Intervention is driven by a vision to ensure that every child with disabilities can reach their full potential. Our mission is to provide early identification and intervention services, developmental support, and empower families with the knowledge and resources needed to overcome challenges. By addressing developmental issues early on, we aim to enhance self-sufficiency and reduce long-term dependency on specialized support services.

    Program Overview

The Early Intervention Project is designed to support children aged 0-12 facing diverse developmental challenges and disabilities. Our comprehensive approach focuses on early identification and intervention, fostering developmental progress, and empowering families.

    Key Components:

    1.    Personalized Interventions: Tailored to meet each child's unique needs, enhancing their development and independence.
    2.    Multidisciplinary Team: Includes psychologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, vision therapists, and special educators working collaboratively to ensure holistic child development.
    3.    Family Empowerment: Providing families with the necessary knowledge and resources to support their children's growth.
    4.    Comprehensive Support: Emphasizes emotional well-being, motor skills, communication abilities, visual wellness, and conceptual understanding.

    Specialized Support and Services

The CoE for Early Intervention offers a wide range of services to address the diverse needs of children with disabilities:

    1.    Early Identification and Intervention: Utilizing advanced screening tools and techniques to identify developmental issues early.
    2.    Therapies: Including speech therapy, occupational therapy, vision therapy, and more, tailored to each child's needs.

    1.    May : There were 14 new registrations, and events like art and craft and drawing were planned. Three parent meetings were held to discuss the children's progress. Kids listened to their parents, spoke more clearly, and attempted to sit still. For the children, there are speech therapy, occupational therapy, and special education available.

    2.    April :Thirty-two new children were registered. 56 children came for their physical therapy appointments, for a total of 118 offline and online sessions. Children and parents engage in art and craft projects together, which enhances the quality of the work produced. They were also becoming less agitated. Along with sharing their involvement at home, parents also attempted to carry on their therapy.

    3.    March : Ninety of the one hundred children who registered were receiving therapy. 47 were included in sessions of physical therapy. Additionally, two conference meetings and four parent meetings were held at GRC. Counselling was helpful enough to assist children in making changes in themselves.
