Introduction: Education is the key to success. For Vikram, it was more than that—it was the path to transforming his destiny and inspiring others to do the same. Today, he dedicates himself to serving society by shaping the future of a small group of underprivileged children in his hometown.

Overcoming Challenges: Vikram is from Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh and has an 80% disability in one leg and uses a stick to walk. During his childhood, he could walk without support, but as he grew older and his body weight increased, walking without assistance became difficult. When asked about the most challenging part of his life, Vikram shared that walking 5-6 km to school daily with his disability was extremely tough. However, he never gave up and always kept himself motivated, turning every challenge into an opportunity to grow stronger. The struggles Vikram faced during his childhood due to his disability and accessibility issues were taken positively by him, igniting a passion and determination to achieve something great in life.

The Sarthak Impact: As time passed, Vikram completed his MA and secured a teaching job in his hometown. Along with teaching, he started helping many children from orphanages or those who were financially struggling to pay school fees or buy books. He supported these children in their education, and continues to do so even today. Despite his limited earnings, Vikram makes every effort to support underprivileged children in any way he can. Whether it’s providing them with second-hand books or raising funds to cover their school or other fees, Vikram became a guiding light for many young lives. In 2023, Vikram discovered Sarthak Educational Trust’s Varanasi center and enrolled in their online training program. While some might wonder why a teacher sought further training, Vikram saw it as a chance to refine his communication and public interaction skills—essential for growth and community engagement. He also aimed to secure a higher salary to support more underprivileged children with education.

Turning Point: With Sarthak’s support, Vikram secured a job at Dr. Path Lab in Lucknow, earning a salary of ₹3.4 LPA. In addition to this job, Vikram is still associated with the teaching field and continues to help needy children with their education. Vikram's passion for learning new things is still strong. He is currently preparing for government officer-level exams, aspiring to take on a role where he can create systemic change. His ultimate goal is not just personal success but to be a catalyst for meaningful transformation in society.
