At the tender age of 3, Madhur faced his first major hurdle — a cochlear implant surgery. But his journey toward better hearing started long before that.
When Madhur was just 1.5 years old, his parents noticed something unusual in his growth. Concerned, they traveled from their small town to Hisar, Haryana, for a check-up. There, Madhur underwent a hearing test, and doctors recommended cochlear implant surgery.
Continuing the Journey: Therapy and Progress
Following the surgery, Madhur faced another challenge — therapy. Living in a small town made access to specialized therapy difficult. But Madhur's parents didn’t give up. With the support of fellow parents, they connected with the Sarthak Early Intervention Center in Delhi for online therapy.
Now, after one year of consistent online sessions at Sarthak, Madhur has shown heartwarming progress.
His mother shares: *“We were trying to help Madhur with speech therapy, but we struggled to find the correct approach. The Sarthak Early Intervention Team guided us on what to do and how to provide therapy at home. They recognize Madhur’s recovery potential and tailor the therapy accordingly.”*
She added with gratitude: “Every piece of guidance we receive from the Sarthak team is precious to us.”
