Sagar Sopan, a 31-year-old with a locomotor disability in one arm and one leg, was not born disabled. His life changed drastically after a tragic road accident when a car hit him, leaving him with permanent mobility challenges. The accident was devastating—Sagar lost his ability to play his favorite sport, football, and struggled to accept his new reality.
With the unwavering support of his family, Sagar slowly returned to school and completed his higher studies with determination. However, when it came to finding employment, the journey was filled with disappointments and rejections. He began questioning his future and his ability to support his parents and become independent.
A turning point came when Sagar received a call from **Sarthak Educational Trust’s Thane Centre** about their 3-month training program. Initially skeptical, he researched Sarthak extensively before deciding to register. Through the training, Sagar learned soft skills, basic English, computer literacy, and later specialized in the IT/ITes sector. Despite this, he expressed his dream of working in the retail sector to his trainer, who assured him they would try their best to support his preference.
Thanks to Sarthak’s dedicated efforts, Sagar was successfully placed in his desired sector. He secured a role as a **Store Keeper at Bharat Watch Company**, earning ₹9,000 per month.
Today, Sagar feels proud, independent, and deeply grateful to Sarthak Educational Trust for helping him rebuild his career and his confidence. His journey stands as a shining example of resilience, hope, and the power of the right support system.
