Mukesh Kumar from Patna, Bihar, has transformed life’s toughest challenges into milestones of resilience and achievement. Living with polio and using a wheelchair, Mukesh faced accessibility barriers from early childhood. Commuting difficulties and inaccessible infrastructure prevented him from attending school regularly, forcing him to pursue much of his education through distance learning.

Despite these obstacles, his determination never wavered. With unwavering support from his family, Mukesh completed his Bachelor’s degree through distance education and went on to pursue a Master of Computer Applications (MCA)—a field he was deeply passionate about. Computers were not just a subject for him; they were a pathway to independence and purpose.

Tragically, Mukesh lost his mother during the COVID-19 pandemic—a loss that deeply affected him, as she had been one of his strongest pillars of support and encouragement. Though she could not witness his achievements, her belief in him continues to inspire his journey.

Achievements in Sports & Competitions

After completing college, Mukesh began participating in competitions, discovering a new avenue to showcase his skills and determination. Among his notable achievements, he earned Silver and Bronze Medals at the IDBF International World Championship in Thailand in the Para Dragon Boat Racing event—an extraordinary accomplishment on the global stage.

Journey with Sarthak & NAAI

In 2021, Mukesh joined Sarthak Educational Trust, where his journey reached new heights. Through the National Abilympics Association of India (NAAI) competitions, he demonstrated exceptional talent in the Data Processing Skill Category.

He secured a Silver Medal at the Regional Abilympics and went on to win a Gold Medal at the National Abilympics 2024, bringing pride to his community and inspiring countless others.

Today, Mukesh is undergoing advanced training for the International Abilympics 2027 in Finland, supported through online coaching by Sarthak Educational Trust and NAAI. His journey reflects not only personal excellence but also the power of inclusive platforms that nurture talent.

Professional Achievement & Future Goals

Adding another proud milestone, Mukesh secured a government job last year and is now serving as a government teacher in Bihar. Teaching has always been his passion, and he is also preparing for civil services.

His goal is simple yet profound: to share his knowledge, empower students, and serve society through education.
