Wheels of Determination: Sumeet’s Journey to Confidence

From the tender age when most children chased butterflies in sun-drenched parks, Sumeet was navigating a world that felt heavier, harder, and often unkind.

Born with locomotor disability — dwarfism, his earliest memories weren’t of carefree play, but of curious stares, whispered comments, and moments that tested his spirit far too soon.

His wheelchair became both his companion and his challenge, carrying him through school corridors and life’s endless lessons. But through every struggle, there was one constant — the unwavering love of his parents. They never allowed his condition to define his future. Their encouragement became his strength, their faith his armor.

Still, growing up wasn’t easy. There were days when Sumeet broke down — not because he lacked ability, but because the world refused to see it. Yet every time, he gathered himself again, determined not to be reduced to his limitations.

In his search for growth and self-worth, Sumeet discovered Sarthak Educational Trust’s Guwahati Centre — and that’s where his story took a turn.

A Place Where Confidence Was Reborn

When Sumeet joined Sarthak, he carried years of hesitation and hurt within him. But the moment he entered those training halls, something began to shift. At Sarthak, he found not pity, but purpose.

Through structured skill-building sessions, communication training, and leadership workshops, he learned to express, to lead, and to believe again. For the first time, he recalls, “I felt heard, understood, and empowered.”

Those three months at Sarthak became his happy place — a space where his wheelchair wasn’t a reminder of limitation, but a symbol of strength. He laughed more, participated eagerly, and even encouraged his batchmates who once struggled just as he did. “I was truly happy,” he says. “I had never experienced that kind of acceptance before.”

The Breakthrough

Then came the day that changed everything. With the support of Sarthak Educational Trust, Sumeet secured a job as a Telecaller at Indiamart, with an annual package of ₹1.4 LPA.

It was the perfect fit — a remote role that offered him the flexibility he needed while giving him a platform to use his communication skills with confidence.

He remembers that moment vividly. “When I spoke during my interview, I wasn’t nervous,” he smiles. “I knew my voice mattered.” That simple sentence held years of silent struggle behind it — and now, the sound of victory.

For Sumeet, this wasn’t just a job. It was a validation of his strength, a reminder that when you keep faith in your abilities, life eventually opens its doors.

Beyond Employment — Toward Empowerment

Today, Sumeet isn’t just earning — he’s evolving. Each call he makes, each conversation he handles, adds another layer of confidence to his story. He has become an example of what determination looks like when nurtured by the right environment.

His message to others is powerful and simple: “Don’t give up because the road is hard. With the right support, even wheels can fly.”

He’s now an inspiration for many, showing that strength isn’t measured by physical stature, but by the size of one’s spirit.

The Sound of Confidence

“I never imagined I would be heard in a room full of professionals,” Sumeet says softly. “Today, I not only speak — I am listened to.”

His words carry pride, peace, and a quiet kind of triumph — the kind that comes when someone who was once overlooked finally stands tall, not in height, but in heart.

And that’s what Sarthak Educational Trust stands for — turning challenges into chances, and limitations into limitless potential. Because when opportunities meet determination, even wheels can soar.
