Sarthak Educational Trust - Empowering Person with Disability
Sarthak Educational Trust is a Non-Government Organization working towards the empowerment of people with disability. The great journey of Sarthak began with a batch of 8 blind students in Delhi, and now through its 25 Skill Building Centers across India, Sarthak has trained and placed more than 36,000+ and 26,000+ PwDs respectively. In addition, 2,670 and 500 children with disability have been rehabilitated through its Early Intervention and Inclusive Education initiatives.
What This Program Offers
This free-of-cost bridge course focuses on three key areas many of us seek to strengthen:
- Functional English
- Everyday communication in English
- Resume and application writing
- Interview conversations and professional email writing
- Computer Skills with Accessibility
- Using screen readers like NVDA and JAWS
- Basics of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Browsing the internet safely, using job search platforms and LinkedIn
- Soft Skills & Practical Knowledge
- Grooming and workplace conduct
- Time management, confidence building, and handling feedback
- Awareness about financial literacy, digital security, and accessibility
How the Training Works
- Delivered by experienced trainers sensitive to the needs of VI learners
- Interactive sessions including group discussions and mock interviews
- Hands-on practice using assistive technologies
- Materials shared in accessible formats and screen-reader-friendly documents
Who Can Join?
- 18–35 years old, visually impaired or low vision
- Completed at least Class 10 (preferably)
- Looking to enhance confidence, digital literacy, and English skills
Where & How
The program is available in multiple cities through Sarthak Centres, and can also be accessed online. Sessions are designed to be interactive, inclusive, and screen-reader-friendly.
